Programs

  • Served as an instructor for medical students learning physical examination.  This included explanation, demonstration, and testing of medical students learning physical exam techniques for the first time.  This was a 2nd year medstudent course aimed at preparing these students for their clinical rotations in their 3rd and 4th year in medical school.

  • Served as an instructor and evaluator for several simulator-based courses for students and residents at the Winter Institute for Simulation Education and Research (WISER).  This included teaching basic/advanced airway skills and resuscitation techniques for such conditions as cardiac/respiratory arrest.
    2007 - 2010
  • Served as a member of the airway research consortium.  This is a research group committed to researching, teaching, and improving the airway management of critically ill patients.  Employs the use of simulation and transitioning to the bedside.  Multidisciplinary approach between emergency medicine and critical care.

  • Served as a lecturer for Critical Topics in Critical Care Medicine at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital.  This was a series of lectures given to residents, physician extenders, and physicians regarding topics essential to the care of critically ill patients.
